SafeLink

Overview:

SafeLink is a wearable GPS tracker built around a Particle Boron, pairing a PA101D GPS module with an IMU over I²C.

Position and motion data stream in real time to Firebase, and a companion Flutter app renders the live location for whoever is keeping watch.

The hardware:

The GPS module and the IMU share a single I²C bus off the Particle Boron, which keeps the wiring small enough to actually wear. The Boron handles the cellular link, so the tracker does not depend on being near a phone or a known WiFi network.

The app:

The Flutter companion app subscribes to the Firebase stream and plots the live position as it arrives, so the view updates without anyone refreshing anything.
