Farm to Table
A marketplace for local produce
Overview:
A farm-to-table marketplace that connects people with the farms near them. Shoppers browse family-owned farms by profile, then buy organic vegetables, fruit, dairy, meat and artisan goods from them directly rather than through a grocery chain.
Products can be filtered by category and by organic certification or searched by name, and everything drops into a single cart that checks out in one go.
The stack:
The front end is React 18 on Vite, with React Router handling navigation and Framer Motion driving the micro-interactions. Supabase backs the data layer, and theming runs on CSS variables so the look stays consistent across the site.
Checkout goes through Stripe using two serverless endpoints: one creates the checkout session, the other turns a completed session into an order. Keeping that on the server side means card details never touch the front end.
Where it stands:
The site is deployed and live, and it is the project I am actively building on right now.
